Well, as asked, the obvious answer to people who go to this website is green jobs. Green jobs are jobs too, and are good for the economy as well as for the environment. It’s clear that we aren’t doing enough right now to combat global warming. A focus on energy efficiency and renewable energies to reduce our carbon emissions will require green jobs to be created. Incidentally, this will also be good for the economy, and even national security (as we will no longer be as tied up with the Middle East and its oil). Creating green jobs is a win-win situation.
I think that both will be important because green jobs cannot alone pick up our economy out of this recession. But also, many typical jobs can be made to have a green twist to it. It is all about what people do with their time and effort, as well as where the demand is and where the money is going.
Green jobs might also replace old jobs that have to be phased out for the purpose of reaching sustainability goals.
Personally I think it is more important to create jobs, but when you are creating jobs there should be more green jobs included then they have been in the past.
