Is it more efficient to have a really large washer and dryer and do less loads of laundry?

    I think it depends on the washer and dryer. If you have a large washer and dryer that uses a lot of energy, it might be just has bad as doing more loads in a smaller washer and drying that uses less.

    Large washers and dryers are only efficient if you fill them to capacity every load (which few people do).  Typically it’s more efficient to purchase a mid-sized laundry set:  the following artilce talks about this very issue: http://thorwasherdryers.blogspot.com/
