Buying clothing that is produced with fewer industrial glues (shoes), organic cottons, natural dyes, and sweatshop-free labor, does help the environment, albeit slightly. Additionally, you can buy clothes that you know are made durably or are repairable/resolable so that you will not have to replace them in the near future. Better yet, is to do your best to not by new clothes. The most sustainable source for clothes is the used/vintage clothing store or your own closet because by purchasing those clothes you are not adding additional wastes into the environment.
