Is it healthy for kids to be vegetarians?

    Yes, it is healthy for anyone to be a vegetarian.  The only caveat is to make sure that they are receiving enough of their vitamins and minerals to maintain healthy living.  Also, the diets should contain enough calories to properly support the growth of the child.  Here is a website that addresses vegetarianism and the nutritional needs associated with it.

    Children need a lot of protein and calcium to be able to properly grow, so whoever prepares them their vegetarian diet should make sure they’re getting all the proper nutrients appropriate to the stage of development that the child is in.  This takes work to make sure the diet is properly balanced.
