Is it harder to learn new skills back-to-back than with some time in between them?

It really depends on the skills involved. If the two skills are related, like part of the same sport, learning them at the same time is probably a good thing. The human body easily has the capacity to learn two skills at the same time, sometimes more proficiently than waiting between learning sessions. When you get into the learning mode, the body adapts and it’s easier to teach multiple skills because the body is predisposed to activating new muscle memory paths.
