Is it efficient to grow agriculture using hydroponics?

It’s efficient in that the plants will grow faster and produce food faster. Hydroponics is growing plants in water with no soil. it works because plants actually gain their nutrients through water ions and the soil just acts as a trap for those nutrients. You can cut out the middle man, in this case, soil, and grow plants directly in nutrient rich water. Almost any plant can grow hydroponically.

It’s also efficient in that you can reuse the water, thus saving water. You also don’t risk contaminating ground water with the nutrients because everything is contained. It’s also easier to control pests. Check out the links below for more information.
