I don’t think so. A lot of people accidently swallow pool water and that is full of chlorine and such. Just don’t swallow too much b/c the salt will dehydrate you! =)
Ocean water is classified as “highly saline”, meaning that is has over 0.1% dissolved salts, and has 3 times the amount of salt that is found in human blood. Human cells and kidneys cannot tolerate this level of salt. If you drink too much seawater you will become dehydrated but a mouthful or two while swimming shouldn’t harm you too badly.
