How will you be powering your RV or house? Will you be using a gas powered generator? Will you be driving your RV? You need to compare the environmental impact of the gas you will be using compared to the electricity you’d be using in the house. Further, will you be using any solar panels? Compare the carbon footprint of each.
Generally speaking, it is more environmentally friendly to live in a house. It is possible to heat a house with a wood-burning stove which can also serve to cook food, dry clothes, and heat bathwater. This is not a viable option for an RV. In addition, RVs are not often made of materials that can be recycled. Houses will last longer, and it will be easier to recycle the materials when it comes time to demolish the home.
