Is it better for the environment to raise turkey or beef?

Although cows provide more food per animal, turkeys require fewer resources.  Cows take up acres and acres of grassland that turkeys simply do not.  It might be wise to switch to other animals as a main protein source because cattle produce so much methane it has become harmful to the global climate.  Ultimately, it would be best for the planet to have a grain-centered diet but until then, any small reduction in beef consumption is good for the environment.
