Marketing is to blame here. A lot of times when a company says “natural” they are not necessarily referring to the granola bar, but one or two of the ingredients in the bar. Some such as a the Kashi brand are more natural than others such as “Nature Valley” bars, (misleading name) as they contain high-fructose corn-syrup (terrible for you!)
This same question could probably be asked about most foods. Granola is natural but not every ingredient in a granola bar can say the same. Many foods mix natural and I suppose “less natural” ingredients.
