To date, yes. humans are rather wasteful and inefficient at resource using and have desecrated the better part of this planet because of industrialization processes. It does not have to be harmful to the environment anymore, starting off it was the easiest way to further technology but now more focus should be put on cleaning up industrialization and making it efficient and renewable. In the end, it’s going to be cheaper and better all around.

Industrialization as history has coined the term is bad for the environment. The Industrialization Revolution brought about terrible pollution.  However, industries are changing and have new meanings today. Green industrialization is a new term, and for that to be bad for the enviromental would be paradoxical. So not all industrialization is bad, the term simply has a stigma attached to it from centuries past.
