I’m glad CFL’s are becoming so popular, but are there any new bulbs out there that can save energy and give off more natural-looking light?

LED light sources are also experiencing a significant gain in popularity and acceptance thanks to new developments and interest in energy savings. For comparison, most CFL produce 60 Lumens per watt (LPW) while LED’s can produce a range from 20-100 LPW. So, you should check manufacturer specs before purchasing an LED over a CFL. Incandescent bulbs only produce 15 LPW. LED’s also are good for providing light in a given direction and can produce a pleasant white light.
