If you have a geologist degree can you work as a miner?

It certainly wouldn’t hurt, but in addition you would have to obtain a health and safety certificate appropriate for the area and particular job. Some mining positions require a degree in civil engineering or mining while some are unskilled and require no previous experience; it just depends which position you are vying for- if it is a skilled or supervisory position you will require higher education and certification.
