a study from the University of Michigan in 2007 shows that organic farming can produce three times as much food as conventional farming. The use of natural fertilizers and other environmentally friendly farming techniques preserve the soil’s nutrients, so the soil is able to produce more and for a longer time. According to the UN, about a third of the food produced in the world never reaches the dinner table.  I think finding ways to avoid wasting food is more vital to feeding the world.
