If wind turbines killed a lot of bats would we have a big insect problem?

The deaths of bats due to wind turbines is a concern for several reasons, one of which is the fact that bats eat many insects that are pests to crops. So, while the insect problem may not be in the form of huge swarms taking over cities, the effect on cropland areas where the bats flew can be significant. In addition, bats reproduce slowly, so populations cannot recover from losses quickly.
