Only if we are able to curb our appetite for destruction—if we are able to cut down on the amount of energy we use, then it is definitely possible that we could produce enough energy via sustainable methods (solar, wind, tidal, bio-mech, geo-therm, etc.) to meet our needs—it really all depends on individual choices. If everyone decided tomorrow that they were only going to use like .10 kWh of energy per day, then we could probably use only solar and wind energy from EXISTING providers and get by. Just no one is going to be willing to do this because we would lag behind in the global marketplace; it’s sad how money rules the world…
