If we got rid of offshore drilling what percentage of oil would that get rid?

Offshore drilling accounts for about 30% of the oil that we produce in America.  That is the equivalent of about 1.5 million barrells per day, which is a pretty big portion of the 21 million barrells that we consume per day.  Without offshore drilling this would probably have to come from foreign oil or more onshore drilling.  Hopefully in the near future we will be consuming less oil thanks to alternative energy and fuels and the need for offshore drilling and most drilling for that matter will not be necessary.
