If we didn’t have catalytic converters how much more smog would there be?

    Since the 1970s, catalytic converters have done away with over 10 billion tons of pollutants that cause smog.  However, in the past few years, the EPA has discovered that nitrous oxide is emitted by catcons, a gas with a global warming potential of 300, which it estimates comprises 7% of the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
