If we could shift the ozone holes away from the poles could we help global warming?

The depleting ozone layer and global warming are two separate issues at their source. The depleting ozone layer is caused by synthetic chemicals that humans release into the air that destroy ozone. The holes in the ozone layer only allow more ultraviolet light to hit the earth’s surface. This problem is different from global warming which is caused by the collection of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere which trap heat energy on Earth. Moving the ozone holes away from the poles would not change the distribution of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, so it is likely that there would be no difference with respect to global warming if the ozone holes were moved.
