If universities moved to all online programs, would the environment benefit from reduced travel, printing costs, etc., or would too much be lost from the lack of interaction?

This is more of an opinion-based question than a facts-based one.  True, the environmental effect of only online universities could be great due to reduced travel costs, energy uses, ect.  However, the effect of only offering classes online could also be quite significant on emotional development.  It’s really more a matter of what someone values more, as the benefits are great in either scenario.
