If trees and humans use carbon to grow then why is it considered a pollutant?

    Carbon is considered a pollutant because it is harmful to the earths ozone layer, and is considered a greenhouse gas. Trees do absorb carbon but not at a great enough rate to counter carbon emissions caused by humans.
