If there was no smoking in the world would there be a lot less pollution?

    Yes, though not if people picked up a similarly addicting substance to replace it with!  Most likely, though, it would cause a dramatic decrease in polliution, whether it be air pollution from cigarette smoke or garbage from the packs and butts.  In addition, it would save tons of lives!  Whether these living people would then generate greater pollution may be a factor worth considering, though…without 1 in 5 Americans dying from tobacco, we would have a lot more people who could benefit from “going green.”
