Yes, I do think that if primates start to go extinct, humans may be in danger. A decrease in the general biodiversity of the Earth’s ecosystems causes an imbalance for all living things. Also, if our closest living relatives: lemurs, apes, and monkeys, are threatened it may be due to tropical rainforest deforestation. Since deforestation leads to a carbon sink being destroyed, this in turn leads to global warming.
