In general, yes. Motorcycles have higher mpgs than other cars because they have much smaller engines, and can get by with less gas. The only problem with this is that you can’t really carpool with motorcycles. You can essentially double or triple the mpg/person rating of a regular car by adding more people in the passenger seats. However, the carpool rate in the US is not yet high enough so that switching more people to motorcycles wouldn’t save gas.
