If more people cooked from home would that eliminate a lot of our agricultural problems?

It would not eliminate any of the problems associated with agriculture. It would, however, allow people to make more informed decisions on what they are eating. Food products in restaurants, particularly in fast food, are of the cheapest variety possible. Cheap food tends to be very processed and loaded with products made from corn. Commodity corn is very cheap because it is government supported. In 2009 87 million acres of corn were planted in the US alone. These crops have much to do with nutrient pollution causing dead zones, and suck the soil dry of all its nutrients.
