If its Summer in the United States, what’s the season in South America?

    In South America, June through August are considered winter. Most of South America lies below the equator, so its seasons are the opposite of North America. The climate in the lower elevations of most of South America is still warmer than a North American winter, although sub-zero temperatures and snow are common in the highlands.
