If I wear sunscreen daily, should I be worried about getting Vitamin D?

The American Academy of Dermatology warns that although exposure to sunlight helps the body produce vitamin D, the vitamin should not be obtained from unprotected exposure to ultraviolet radiation.

Sunscreen protects you from UV rays, which is not worth risking for vitamin D. Vitamin D can be obtained in other ways like in your diet–vegetables and fish both have a lot of it. Always wear protective sunscreen when outside–even in the wintertime.
