If I live somewhere with a lot of readily available water, where it rains a lot or close to a major lake or river, does it matter if I conserve water?

    It probably still matters, yes. If everyone who lived near you used water indiscriminately, it would likely have a major effect even on a large body or source of water. And if you get in the habit of conserving water now, you’ll be in better shape if you ever move to a drier area.
