As the ice melts, polar bears are finding it harder and harder to catch their main food source, seals. Since this has started, polar bears have taken to attacking other species like walrus, reindeer, rodents and vegetation, as well as scavenging for the carcasses of dead whales. They may not seem much more dangerous, but the growing scarcity of food sources certainly makes them more aggressive and dangerous if you were to come across one that has gone a few weeks without a good meal.
