I understand that reusable polypropylene shopping bags are 100% recycable. How and where can they be recycled?

“Polypropylene is a hydrocarbon that is distilled from the petroleum refining process”

Bags made out of polypropylene is said to be very versatile.  Many large grocery stores are featuring bins to place the used plastic bags.  The stores will recycle them for you at your convenience.  Look around at your grocery stores.  I go to a Giant Food Store and a Wal-Mart super center that both feature these bins.

There are different numbers for each type of recyclable material.  The number is located in the recycling symbol somewhere on the material.
