Actually, most research has shown that using spices in foods will lead to weight loss, in a way, through burning calories and fat or through appetite suppression. Spicy foods may also lead to a reduced amount of food consumed, in that the spicy food may be consumed more slowly.
No, I don’t think spices should be made illegal. Spices have many health benefits, and are a natural cure to different ailments. There are other unnatural additives, like monosodium gludamate, which are added to foods to increase appetites. I think that these should be outlawed, if anything, given that they serve no wholesome purpose whatsoever.
