If the trees are right next to each other, and only one is getting burnt, then it may actually be something else, like cypress canker, or a burrowing beetle. It’s difficult to know for sure without pictures. I would recommend going to a local nursery, and asking someone there both what to do for sun burn, and what else it may be. Hope this helps!
