I have Oleanders that are probably a year old and don’t produce any flowers. They are in a fairly shaded area.

Is the lack of total sunlight the problem with no blooms? I just bought this house so I don’t know what type of care the previous owners took with the Oleanders. The soil appears really dry and hard. Today I applied fertilizer to each of the 12 shrubs and watered them thoroughly. Will that help them produce next year?

Yes, Oleanders need full sunlight to bloom properly, as it helps fuels their growing process.

    I hope this helped!
