I have a fence swift that I keep as a pet can I feed him lady bugs?

You could certainly try, but your lizard may not like them at all. Naturally, fence swifts eat ants, beetles, spiders, crickets, snails, and centipedes, with ants being their favorite because ant hills are easy raids. While ladybugs are a type of beetle, they aren’t the best choice for food because their bright color serves as a warning. The color warns predators that they make a poor lunch choice. When disturbed, they produce yellow fluid from their joints that smells awful, and this is a deterrent for predators.
