One stud showed that some plants may benefit from warmer temperatures allowing more frequent freeze and thaw cycles in winter. The plants in the study grew faster and larger. However, their roots were also shorter than normal, and it’s unclear whether all plants would benefit the same way. Other plant species may suffer from the changes in temperature.
