Definitely! Hummus is essentially garbanzo bean/chickpea paste with some sesame seed paste, lemon juice, and whatever else you want to put in it. It is really easy to make in a blender, or you can find it in most grocery stores. Some hummus is really over-processed, though, so read the ingredients. Chickpeas are also a great source of vegetarian protein. Vegetable protein sources have a lower impact on the environment than meat, dairy or eggs.
