To truly live off the grid we would have to have some combination of growing our own food and buying only from local farmers at a farmer’s market that we could walk to get to. This means cutting back a lot on meat and putting a lot more effort into personal gardening. The meat industry is a huge contributor to global warming, so I actually think that eating any meat contributes to global warming, although admittedly if it’s from a local farmer it isn’t as bad since there is no mass production going on.
To have a green diet, we literally would have to eat more green foods.
