How would dumping limestone into the oceans impact global warming?

Scientists have discovered that by mixing liquid CO2 and crushed limestone in water an emulsion forms. It is claimed that this emulsion could be released into the ocean effectively sequestering CO2 at the bottom of the ocean in the limestone. There are a few problems associated with this however. There is no real way to tell how this would affect the surrounding ecosystems where the sequestered CO2 is dropped. It is also just covering up the problem for a short time and not addressing the real issues at hand. While it could be a short temporary part of the solution, it is definitely not the solution to solve climate change.
