How will scientists restore the forests at South Carolina’s Hampton Plantation?

    The U.S. Fish and Wildlife service has invested 139,000 dollars in restoring the longleaf pine forest of Hampton Plantation.  After a careful examination of the grounds to avoiding interfering with the historic cemetary, the restoration will involve prescribed fires and removing hardwood trees.
