How wide are fresh water stingrays?

A British man has netted what’s considered the largest freshwater fish ever caught anywhere. Measuring 7 x 7 feet with a tail said to be 10 foot long, it took the help of twelve other men to lift the giant fish out of the water. The tail was missing. If it had been there, the ray’s total length would have been between 14.8 and 16.4 feet (4.5 and 5 meters), estimated University of Nevada Biologist Zeb Hogan. Though this is the largest one ever caught they are rumored to be up to 20 feet. Couple pretty impressive pictures in links below.
