In order to get LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified, the White House will become more water and energy efficient. Light sensors, low-flow water valves and a computerized energy management system will be installed. White House groundskeepers will begin using biodegradable cleaners, and recycled equipment. Any materials left over from these renovations will be donated.
