The Vancouver Olympics game this winter are recognized as the greenest Olympics ever. Some question how green they really were though since there was so much hype built up around the greenness. The David Suzuki Foundation gave the Olympics a bronze rating for their climate scorecard. They incorporated green energy use, building, transportation, and products.
The 2010 Vancouver Olympics did a number of things in hopes of being the greenest olympics yet. Just to list a few:
-they partnered with the indigenous peoples
-they reached out to local businesses
-they incorporated LEED elements in the design and construction of facilities
-they engaged in making the games a carbon neutral event.
