Your digestive system separates from the nutrients it needs mainly in the intestines. The small intestine absorbs proteins, carbohydrates, and fats through it’s wrinkled lining and pass into the blood stream. In the large intestine some vitamins are absorbed into the body as well as water. It is here as well that bacteria begins to form feces and where it is stored until it is excreted.
