how is wind transformed into electricity?

Wind turns blades connected to a turbine which is housed within a magnetic field. Because it’s in a magnetic field, the motion generates an electrical current, which is passed through wires to power on-site appliances (or whatever), or back to the public grid if the system is hooked up to it.
