How tall are most wind turbines?

Engineers need to design horizontal-axis wind turbines with particular attention to the turbines’ height. This is so because of how wind speeds change depending on how far the winds are from the ground.

One acceptable method for determining wind turbine tower height has been to make the tower between two and three times as high as the length of the tower’s blades.
