Smokers should put their cigarette butts in the trash. Dropping them on the sidewalk or out the window creates an enormous amount of litter, and also poses health risks for animals and humans, especially if they get into drains. Consider carrying around a personal ash tray if you think you will be in an area with trash cans or cigarette recepticles. Ash trays can be homemade out of mint tins.

The Patent Holder Blake Burich(InnovaGreenSystems) and Responsible Smokers Act (Me) are working together on a goal to make Ashtrays from Cigarette Butts. By giving the litter a value and a purpose, we will be facilitating and educating the proper disposal while raising funds for future cleanups,by selling and maintaining these ashtrays.
So smokers have a chance to redeem themselves and to help cleanup after the ones who make them look bad,by using this Ashtray. This is many years in the making, and this year things are finally coming together.
Yes the place for cigarette buts is in the trash, or better, an ashtray first and then the trash. Cigarettes are one of the most common forms of litter, not only are cigarette butts litter but they are also full of dangerous toxin for the surrounding environment an animals, as well as having the potential to start fires.
Smoke a pipe instead. Buy 1 pipe and then pouches of pipe tobacco (in recyclable packages) as needed. Problem solved. No more cigarette butts. Or better yet, stop smoking. Quitting smoking is slightly easier than quitting heroin, so don’t dismay. Enjoy the withdrawl period!
