How safe are animals inside the borders of African preserves?

Animals in African conservation parks are relatively safe while they are within the boundaries of the park. These boundaries however, can be a problem, as wild animals are not used to being confined to small spaces.

Additionally, they are at risk from wildlife poaching for international trade and hunting for bushmeat while inside the parks. Better security or harsher punishments for violating laws may help to improve the safety of these animals.
