It varies between species of sea turtles, and research still needs to be done, as these ancient creatures are rare and difficult to study in the wild. They seem to grow incredibly slowly though. It’s estimated green sea turtles take 10 to 50 years to reach sexual maturity!
Just to add on to the above answer, some species of sea turtles like the Hawksbill reach sexual maturity at 3 years old, and Loggerheads reach it between 12-30 years of age. Evidently, sexual maturity amongst different species of sea turtles is also associated with carapace size, according to Sea World’s animal profile.
