The Aurora Borealis, a beautiful phenomenon caused by the sun’s energy particles colliding with the Earth’s magnetic field, is seen primarily during the winter months. From December to March, you are the most likely to see the “Northern Lights.” They can be seen from many locations all over Alaska, extending as far north as Juneau.
