How much of your blood can a tick eat?

    Ticks can take a in a surprising amount of blood considering thier size, but surprisingly little considering the size of a human.  It is suggested that ticks can take in between 0.74mL and 8.856mL.  One mL is less than a quarter of a teaspoon.
